Because a good fit between you and the psychotherapist is pivotal, I offer a free initial 30-minute consultation to help determine whether to schedule a first appointment. In that conversation we discuss what you are seeking to address in psychotherapy, my thoughts about what approach to treatment may be effective for your needs and how I specifically could be of help to you, and any questions you may have. From that point, we may agree to schedule a first appointment for psychotherapy.
I meet for psychotherapy sessions on a weekly basis in most cases. Appointments are 50 to 55 minutes. Sessions tend to be relatively open-ended – shaped by your particular needs, intentions, and goals and my active engagement toward the concerns that are important to you.
Fees, Payment, and Insurance
The fee for a psychotherapy session is $185. I accept payment by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), personal check, or cash at the time of each appointment.
I do not work directly with any health insurance, though many individuals are able to receive reimbursement from their providers and most tend to have the majority of my fee covered. I provide all documentation necessary to submit for reimbursement from your insurance company and will help you with the process in any way needed.
