Getting Started
Because a good fit between you and a psychotherapist is pivotal. I offer a free initial 30-minute consultation to help determine whether to schedule a first appointment. In that conversation we discuss what you are seeking to address in psychotherapy, my thoughts about what approach to treatment may be effective for your needs and how I specifically could be of help to you, and any questions you may have. From that point, we may agree to schedule a first appointment for psychotherapy.
You may be looking to begin psychotherapy at the recommendation of a provider who has referred you. If so, please provide that information when you contact me and we will discuss the referral together as a part of the initial consultation. I accept new psychotherapy clients only after having had a discussion during the initial consultation; I do not accept new psychotherapy clients solely or immediately upon a provider referral. When I am not accepting new clients, I do not keep a waiting list for prospective clients.

Psychotherapy Appointments
I meet for psychotherapy sessions on a weekly basis in most cases. Appointments are scheduled for 50 minutes. Sessions tend to be relatively open-ended – shaped by your particular needs, intentions, and goals and my active engagement toward the concerns that are important to you.
I provide psychotherapy services primarily in-person and also via telehealth. In-person appointments are available with shared agreement to follow specified COV-19 precautionary measures. Video psychotherapy sessions utilize a secure and encrypted web-based telehealth platform.

Fees, Payment, and Insurance
The fee for a 50-minute psychotherapy session is $220. I accept payment by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) via a secure, encrypted web-based telehealth platform. Payment is due at the time of each appointment.
I do not work directly with any health insurance, though many individuals are able to receive reimbursement from their providers and most tend to have the majority of my fee covered. I provide all documentation necessary to submit for reimbursement from your insurance company and will help you with the process as needed.
